I am a registered nurse and have psoriasis psoriatic arthritis. My psoriasis started when I was 17 and I lived with it until I was 32. To make a long story short, I take Enbrel injections, 25mg, twice a week and it has cured my psoriasis 100% and really helps the arthritis part of it as well. Creams never did help really. I tried methotrexate first but it is basically useless, especially when you compare it to Enbrel or other TNF inhibitors.

lucky you,most people are bullied about it,cuz people just don’t know what psoriasis is,what is actually very stupid.

yeah i used to take methotrexate as well but i didnt like the fact that i had to take a blood test every month to make sure my liver was still ok but yah it did work well for me exept the day after where i would feel like .. i now take a topical cream called dovenex and it clears almost over night

I went to a doctor today and he put me on methotrexate too. Along with that I am on a cream for my face and a spray for the rest of my body. I hope it works. I’m sorry it didn’t work for you. I have had it for 15 years and it has destroyed my life. I heard there is a shot you can get too. I was told that is the next step if the methotrexate doesn’t work. I’m 46 years old and have had psoriasis for the last 22 years…. It’s had to get a doctor where I am because a lot of doctors here don’t take medicaid… So my family doctor has giving me a pill called methotrexate and it works some but I still have it over 95% of my body….
